Jim Sparks and Albert K. Bender

As I was listening to Part Two of the Jim Sparks inverview, it sounded quite a bit like the Albert K. Bender story. Bender headed a group called the "International Flying Saucer Bureau" back in the 1950's. He also wrote a book called "Flying Saucers and The Men In Black." Bender and his group decided they would attempt contact with extraterrestrials and came up with the concept of World Contact Day. Bender sought to have an out-of-body experience where he would call upon "Occupants of Interplanetary Craft." (Remember Klaatu?) Bender reported in his book that his body felt cold, he smelled a sulphurous odor, and his body ached after he went out of body, much like Sparks reported. Bender also claimed to have a mysterious piece of alien metal he stored in a box. There seems to be a number of similarities of Jim Sparks' story to the Bender book.
