I'd post the link, but I always seem to screw it up and Gene has to fix it. I haven't watched them for some time, but I did see them on youtube and google movies. Some of the clips I've seen are outtakes from some over-hyped UFO tv show. So the key is to sort of separate the actual interviews from the everpresent spooky music and the like.
I've never understood why this case hasn't developed a greater interest. It may have something to do with geography. According to reports, the children were taken to different areas and questioned immediatly, without time to conflate their stories after making adults aware of what they'd seen. Again, according to reports, the children told of the event in almost identical terms.
I'm always on the look-out for more info on this case and thought it had faded into obscurity with the untimely death of Mack, but with the production of this doc, maybe more info will be forthcoming.
If you manage to find the vids, watch the children's eyes as they describe the event and the "aliens". They remind me of children who've suffered trauma or something- very strange if it was some sort of hoax.
There are other possibilities that have never been delved into to deeply that would lead away from a paranormal answer, but they're not ofton discussed.

I read it about it in one of Timothy Goods books. Maybe email him, and see if anything new has come to light.

Just did a quick check on youtube and Ruwa UFO bring up all the videos. Listen to what the kids say, I'd be interested in hearing your take. It seems as though they saw something that, at first at least, they were not supposed to see. . .like a lapsing of dimensions or something. Then the things that they were seeing decided to go into the old meme about the world being destroyed by over-consumptive "man" (certainly possible).
If you do watch it, let me know if you think the kids really believe what they are saying or are in some fashion faking it. I've not above falling for things, but as I noted in my initial post on "favorite UFO cases" this one rings "true" to me. . .whatever the hell that means in this context.
One aspect of this case that has always haunted me (I may have written about it here before) is the fact that the area in question has/had high tension power lines running through it. Could these have interfered with brain waves and if so, could a collective delusion have been created in this fashion?
Guess this is just one more where we'll never really know.

saw the case a while back in a doco on Mr Mack, the kids are compelling as are the teachers who know the kids and recognise "something" was seen by them.

I certainly don't adhere to late John Mack's theories as to what enounters and/or abductions are, I do think he was credible and did good work in documenting the phenomena. It was his ideas about the origins and motovations of the "aliens" that I might take exception with.
That said, the hair still stands up on the back of my neck when I watch the old videos of those children recounting what happened to them. Who knows what it was. . .what is evident, at least to me, is that the children experienced something beyond their comprehension.
The Mack Foundation website makes note that a man is making a documentary about the event and tracking down the children, now young adults, and they are sticking by their collective story.
Come to think of it, the film-maker would be a great guest for the Paracast. I'll bet he could get through the whole thing without mentioning Rosewell.

The Ruwa,Zimbabwe case is certainly one of the most compelling cases in the last 15-20 years. In many ways,it mirrors the classic 1989 sighting in Voronezh,Russia. With many witnesses - mainly kids - seeing strange humanoid beings close to a landed craft. They each posses all the bizarre and absurd elements that make up the "UFO-Experience".

Both cases rank high on my "all time favorite" list...

You make a good point, there does seem to be some similarity between the two cases. In addition, and you citing of the Russian case is the only thing that made me think of it, the Ruwa "sighting" seems to harken back to stories of faries and gnomes. Of course Vallee has held that there was a grain of "truth" to these mythologies and that they tied in directly with modern UFO sightings. I wonder if he's ever commented on this case.
If I remember correctly, Vallee wrote about the Voronezh case in one of his books. I'll have to go back and look it up.
To reiterate what I said in an earlier post, I really can't understand why this case (Ruwa) has received scant attention. To have that many witness in one location saying that they, in essence, saw the same event, to my mind demands greater attention. Hopefully the documentary that is being made of the case now will spark some more digging.

I agree, both cases have elements that makes them fit quite nicely inside of Vallee's Magonian Universe.I don't remember him ever commenting on the Ruwa case,it may have happened when he was "out" of the UFO field. It would be fascinating to hear his take on it,though.By the way,do you know when the release date for the documentary is?

The Vallee book is called "UFO Chronicles of the Soviet Union:A Cosmic Samizdat" - Timeless!

Fascinating. So these kids would be around 24-26 now... would be cool to interview one of them.

Yes,I guess they're around that age now.There's a guy who's making a documentary about the Ruwa case,and he's re-interviewing some of the witnesses.Here's a link:
