Strieber's new age philosophy is a genuine reflection of his world view, not a sop to his fans. He has a long history of involvement with so called "occult" schools of the Gurdjieff and Balvatsky type that far predate the publication of Communion.

As far as appearing on the Paracast is concerned, forget it. These days Strieber follows his hero Al Gore's practice of only appearing in venues sympathetic to his agenda. When faced with hard questions, he's been known to explode in violent fits of quaking rage. The man doesn't have the sack to face rational arguments challenging some of his more ridiculous claims, and that's what he would have to deal with here on the Paracast.


(If it came to fist fight, I reckon the Whitster would knock Biedny out by the second round, just by virtue of far superior mean spirited misanthropy If you think David gets exercised when debating an issue, you ought to see some of Strieber's seizures. His head all but explodes and the saliva flies like popcorn. Gene might take him with a technical K.O., but he's been known to favor rabbit punches, and that leaves your head undefended. Close call.)
