The super dr greer language translation thread!!!

Hi Guys.
Since i love to listen to the Dr Greer talk his nonsense (it just makes me laugh so much) I have been listening to him a lot recently. It seems that even since the early 90's he has been using the same Rhetoric and mannerisms (which innitially can be quite convincing) to get people to jump on his Aliens cultist bandwagon.

Now I really need to start doing some work in a minute, but I have decided to start a thread which translate each one of his catch phrases into real-world speak to that next time you watch him, you know exactly what he means.

I'll start off with a few, but then i have to work, feel free to add your own, and if you don't know any of the translations, just post the catchphrase and I will translate it for you. If you can't think of any, never mind, I'll try to add some more over the coming weeks:

1. "I have personally briefed Senior members of the Whitehouse on the subject" (not the exact words but near enough and he used it with member of the UN also) - Source: Disclosure project, X-conference, many other places
Translation: "I ran up to a senior whitehouse member in the street and yelled at him that the aliens are coming and he must give me the secrets of Tesla's zero point energy before we all kill each-other! Shortly thereafter I was restrained by a passing police officer and cautioned."

2. "I have seen grown men weep over the subject" [of what are we going to do about all the UFO's whizzing round on Tesla's golden secrets] - Source: Again the disclosure project
Translation: "Whenever I try to tell anyone at the whitehouse or U.N about my theory on Tesla, they start crying with laughter"

3. "We HAVE samples / Evidence / Footage" - Source: Every lecture he does
Translation "We don't actually have any evidence, but if I say it in an authoritative manner, putting an emphasis on the 'HAVE', whilst sporting a nice suit and a doctor-like pair of glasses, and then carry on to the next topic before anyone gets to ask where the evidence is then hopefully people will believe me"

4. "If this person you refer to DOES exist" - Source: Paracast interview, referring to Gene's friend who is rather well off.
Translation: "Please tell me the name of this person so I can go and beg/sell to him for money directly. If you don't tell me I'll keep on asking you if he does exist in the hope that you'll crack and tell me" (We call it fishing in the sales business, did you notice his sudden change in tone and subtle begging when the person was mentioned)

5, "Please donate money to the Orion project at...." - Source: Paracast interview.
Translation "Please donate us your money, I need that new sports car and condo, and I'll dissapear once I have the $3 million so you never have to hear from me again" (I'm kind of tempted to give him the money!)

for the record. I receive no money from donations of my sig. Then again, If I were like Greer, I would lie and say I didn't. Hmm. Just didn't want lumped in with Greer is all. Askin for donations and stuff.

Has anyone actually tested Dr Greer on what he says - or do you all just consider him a little wacky because of the way he goes about things? Or perhaps because he is trying to solicit money? But is it not the case that most (if not all) guests on the paracast are trying to sell their own book or conference etc - is that not a similar enterprise?

Further, I would love for one of his critics to actually go on one of his "UFO hunts" (for example) and report back on the experience - or is this just too much to ask? Or what about taking him up on an offer to actually meet one of the scientists he claims to have on board (re ZPE - Oh and by the way - I have discovered the name of the scientist who worked on ZPE with NASA funding... His name is in the book titled "Alien Dawn" by Colin Wilson... unfortunately I lent it to a friend recently and don't have the name to hand but I will get it back soon and let you know (now I am sounding like Greer! Ha Ha!).

I believe Greer IS doing something important. No-one else seems committed to actually (in practice) doing something positive (ie., over and above mere discussion). His underlying message IS an important one. Disclosure IS an important enterprise and centralised distribution of energy IS keeping the world beholden to some VERY unsavoury power centres (please forgive the pun!)

If you must criticise Dr Greer, at least acknowledge the import of what he is trying to achieve. No matter what his character may be - the message he delivers is vitally important.

I havent made comments on any of the other guests on the show, and havent discounted that some of them may be in it for the money also.
Nobody disagrees with the importance of disclosure but it is the way you go about it that counts, not the message. IMO, he is freeloading off this good message and using it to propel himself into stardom. I have a video at home of him in the early 90's claiming that he has parts of metal from an alien spaceship... where is it now? He has made a mockery of himself by making constant claims of evidence and then never producing them, or rarely in any case.

The disclosure project could have been absolutely awe inspiring, but he ruined it by throwing in unsubstantiated witnesses like Clifford Stone and has infact undermined the whole topic far more than he has helped it. If you want to support people have helped the message, I would support James Fox as he is one of the few UFO researchers that has gained very little.
in essence, if you deliver 'the message' in the wrong way, you do more harm than good. George Bush has been delivering the message that we must rid the world of terrorism for the last 8 years..... the way he delivered it has left him open to critiscism, and the same principal applies here.

Also, don't take my posts too seriously i'm just having a bit of fun. Trust me, in the real world, I poke a lot more fun at myself than I do other people.

Greer is committed I agree, but in the wrong place. He needs a white room.

I know people who have gone on his little UFO hunting trips and they saw nothing but hubris and a cult mentality. There is a link to an article by someone else who has gone on a Greer expedition in another thread. Jeff Ritzmann has told a great anecdote about seeing Greer's expedition in action (cooing over an airplane while the real Gulf Breeze UFO was behind them).

I wouldn't pay $800 to test it out any more than I'm going to test out Robert Tildon's power of prayer by calling the prayer hotline and "donating" to them. Some things in life you don't have to do to know they are fraudulent.

In fact, this is what bugs me most about people on message boards like ATS or Book of Thoth (not here usually): They have zero discernment until such time as they trip the liar up in his lie or the delusional person up in his irrationality. So a thread about "I'm a reptilian overlord" or some such nonsense will go on for pages until the proper sleuthing has been achieved and the liar caught. That, kids, is a circle jerk.

If we cannot immediately ignore the "I'm a reptilian overlord" poster because...Hey! You never know! ... then we have zero power of discernment and probably shouldn't be looking into this stuff at all.

So it is with the professional charlatans. I don't need Bruce Maccabee to tell me a model made out of doilies and cupcakes isn't a spaceship. I also don't need to hunt down the European institution with the beautiful alien baby corpse to know neither exist but in Greer's head.

I did, however, call Kucinich's office to find out if he ever met with Greer and told him words to the effect that meeting Greer & his disclosure military peeps warmed his heart more than any other time in office. (I have the direct quote around here somewhere....)

Unfortunately, their records don't go back that far so they couldn't really look into it. However, knowing the language of Greer, he probably did meet with Kucinich. He had all those "witnesses" in Washington, I'll bet they met with some political folks and it was no big deal.

Beyond that, the CIA director and Co. he claims he briefed wrote a letter and all signed off saying, essentially, they were seated together at a table at a political function and they politely listened to Greer's BS.

So this information is out there. Plus go take a look at his free energy device. It has lightning bolts on it.

You're right. I know little of Greer except his overarching message. If what you are saying about him is true then that is a real pity because he IS then doing a great deal of harm to the "cause". What a shame!

James Fox? He was behind Out of The Blue then? But is making films real advocacy (excellent though that film was and I eagerly await his next..)? Are there any properly funded research efforts being conducted anywhere? Has anyone made a concerted effort to identify potential funding sources?

I have to pull you up on one point though. The incidence of terrorism has actually been consistently decreasing over the past few decades (or even centuries if you take a broader view and discount world wars). Even WITH 9/11 - terrorism was on the decrease. The only thing G W Bush did was increase local terrorism in Iraq and Afghanistan - As for the rest of the world, it remains in decline. Prior to Bush, Al Queda was a spent force and 9/11 was its last gasp effort to involve the US - unfortunately a confluence of neoconservative and radical islamist thought made 9/11 seem like a good idea from BOTH camps - and it was made a reality by forces on BOTH sides, who each saw a benefit in it for themselves - but this is the wrong forum for this discussion so I will say no more.
