Texas is big. We may have had a disproportionate share of bad guys, but that may be due to our size ... and the accumulation of our wealth.

While I don't think we'll be spared in this economic downturn, (more like deathly plunge) we aren't suffering in the manner of the rest of the country as yet and we seldom reach the depths of the worst in economic hard times. That must be why everyone is moving here. Texans are a very mixed bag and have been for many years. There is NO typical Texan anymore. Yanks aplenty.

I'm just glad Bush wasn't born in NC, given how people mistake the soul or personality for the ground under one's feet. Of course John Edwards (no, not John Edward the medium or fraud) was born here in NC if I remember correctly, and he's a hypocritical fukhead.

I like Texans If it helps. I like the no nonsense atitude they often display and they are Known straight talkers.

Ive never met anybody from Texas unfortunately but remember this......

After his misspent youth that's hardly surprising. It's funny, most of us grow out of that whole "when I grow up, I wanna be a cowboy" phase by age 8...
